The DPD Subcontractor Portal is a web platform that centralises the full lifecycle of external operators – from onboarding and document validation to day-to-day operational follow-up, performance indicators and training.

 It gives DPD and its partners a shared, up-to-date view of compliance, vehicles, drivers, incidents and delivery KPIs, strengthening transparency and operational control across the logistics network. 

Challenge

 

Before this platform, DPD faced several limitations in how it managed external operators.

Information was dispersed across multiple systems, spreadsheets and email threads, making it difficult to obtain a single view of subcontractor performance, documentation, incidents and vehicles.

Many processes were manual and time-consuming, increasing the risk of errors and non-compliance, particularly when it came to keeping insurance, licences and legal documents updated. 

Communication with subcontractors was poorly structured and offered little traceability, and there was no integrated platform to manage mandatory and optional training content.

At the same time, the company wanted to reinforce transparency with its partners by sharing delivery indicators and debit notes associated with services, while ensuring that each subcontractor met all legal and internal requirements before starting activity.

The challenge was clear: to move from a fragmented, manual model to a single portal capable of supporting the full subcontractor lifecycle and the operational realities of a leading parcel delivery network.

 

 

The DPD Subcontractor Portal was conceived as an end-to-end management tool covering the entire lifecycle of external operators:

    •  Registration and onboarding of new subcontractors, validation and control of legal and contractual documentation
    • Management of vehicles and assigned drivers
    • Recording and follow-up of incidents during daily routes, access to delivery performance indicators and associated debit notes

By bringing these processes together in a single web platform, DPD gained greater visibility over its subcontractor network and a more consistent, auditable way of enforcing internal and legal requirements.
